The cost of electricity, like the cost of most things, is increasing. Very few Australian households are immune to feeling the effects of these increases to electricity prices. But what exactly is behind them, and how can we resist the price increases in our own homes?
Rising global costs, extreme weather conditions and infrastructure refreshes are among the principle reasons behind proposed increases to household electricity costs in New South Wales. But these increases of around 20% are being fiercely contested by both government and opposition in that state.
